Sorry Mr Ireland, that's just not possible at this point.

Junior Members may not access Profiles (their own, or anyone else's), utilize the Private Message system, or post in Sutler Row or the Classifieds.

Limited opportunity is given during initial registration process to fill some of the profile fields, but no other changes can be made until you have enough Moderator approved discussion posts to become a Registered User.

Moderator, When I remember. We got Rules here!

Did your sales post disappear? Try again. But read the rules first.

    classifieds

you guys need to open up the classified section a little more, its obvious there are a ton of missed opportunities because people don't have time to sit and read all the discussions. the numbers don't lie, the classified section is the most popular part of this site, if you can't change this than please be more clear about trying to deter sales. I have been trying to list a enfield rifle and I was told NOT to use this website because of its ill run classifieds, now I see why you have a bad reputation amongst the reenactors I spoke with.

    Thank you for your opinion.

Junior Members are barred from using the classifieds. We do this to keep down spam, and to give a certain amount of protection to those purchasing here. Our sales depend on trust and honesty of those involved.

Our experience is that most troublesome sales are for high dollar items from sellers with very low post counts. We choose not to invite that trouble for our members.

Both we and the Authentic Campaigner require a minimum post count in order to sell, and both boards command a wide audience. Smaller boards have different requirements and may meet you needs.

Let me be a little more blunt than Provost-ADC: This site is FIRST AND FOREMOST a site to share information, research, knowledge, and discuss aspects of the Civil War/War Between the States to better one's living history/reenacting impression. The sales forum is only a subsection of this overall forum, provided originally by Mr. Szabo as a courtesy in a day when it was harder to get quality goods than it is today. We have had issues in the past with people who only come on to sell items or those with lower post counts. By keeping one from selling right off, we are protecting those who use this site for its intended purpose. You are quite free to either follow the rules or leave. I'm sorry you feel we have a bad reputation, but quite frankly if you can't read the rules up front, we can't spoon feed you nor do we want to. In this case, the only "missed opportunity" seems to be your opportunity to make some money, not anyone's missed opportunity to learn something on the forum.

That is because you have no prior posts to your credit. All intial posts must be validated by a moderator until you attain full membership. You have limited access to personal messaging and profiles until you have approved posts under your name. You now have one approved post
