    Period, Everyday, Common

It has to do with not looking for the exception to the rule, but blending into the typical.

    Just to muddy the water:
AOP also stands for Army of the Pacific, a reenactor organization based on the west coast which participates in NSA (North/South Alliance) events, usually in the western theater area, such as Franklin, Corinth, Perryville and Mill Springs. I believe they have a website.

cph or c/p/h - campaigner/progressive/hardcore - three stages of what is often referred to her as "campaigning", or the other side of the hobby from mainstream. Similarly, some break down the mainstream side into three stages f/m/a - farb/mainstream/authentic.

PEC - period/everyday/common - a concept for basing one's impression on what would have been seen a large portions of the soldiers rather than a very small minority.

Not a real Civil War reenactor, I only portray one on boards and fora.
I do not portray a Civil War soldier, I merely interpret one.

I think my dictionary is complete enough that I can read most threads and not scratch my head.

Thank you all. The C/P/H was the one that had me stumped the most
