Excellent write up as is your custom Phil.

One observation---the ' civilian tent city in the middle of the main battlefield'----wasn't. You may have seen a mixed military dependent camp or something, but the designated civilian area was way up on the top of the hill, separated from the road by three strands of wire, throw a rock and hit the cars parked in Arkansas It was a right major journey down to see y'all fight.

The drama associated with the vehicle towing was a pretty high one. We heard about it when we were giving soldier haircuts on Sunday.

Still, a fine event, and the only thing really missing was Missouri Boot and Shoe. I've been trying to catch him at an event since the 2011 Wilson's Creek. I seem to have a possible appointment next summer.

That's interesting info, both about the mixed camp on the battlefield and the towing drama, as was your tale of firewood.

Too bad it is not a custom for the "general managers" of events to write and publish after-action reports giving their unique perspective of the highs and lows of their own events.

Phil, I don't really know who was camped down there. I thought it was an artillery camp, but if you say there were civilians down there in the fight around village, it must have been a mixed camp.

I dunno, cause I'm three scrips behind on my period spectacles. I can't see jack.
