Thread: A moderator, at last

Thumbs up A moderator, at last

My deep apologies for not doing this sooner, it sort of slipped off my "To Do" list and crawled into a corner.

"Doc" Nelson has volunteered to step up and fulfill the role of Mod for this forum. He will be my eyes and ears here, as he's been doing informally for some time, but will also be able to delete spam and other intrusions more swiftly than I can get to them.

I trust you will all welcome him in his new role and give him every cooperation possible. We do not claim to be perfect as mods and your forebearance with our limitations and tough decisions is most appreciated. However, if you have a beef, we're always willing to listen to all sides of an issue.

Thank you all for your participation here. Your use of this space and what we all learn from each other I find invaluable.

    Red face Thank You!

Thank you Provost for an opportunity to serve in this new role for me.

I only hope that we, as medical reenactors (not to mention others interested in this aspect of the hobby as well), can continue our great resource here. It has been a great place for folks like us, to come share ideas, thoughts, historical evidence/facts, experiences, etc. And, a place where others can come to for advice or, guidance (for lack of a better term).

When I first petitioned for a conference (back in August of 2006), I actually didn't think it would come to pass. However, September of 2006, we witnessed the birth of the "Medical & Relief Society Impressions" conference. And with it, allot of talent came to the surface. I can truly say that, I am honored to partake in an impression that, has so many wonderful individuals, dedicating their time, effort and desire to bring our side of the hobby to everyone.

If at any point and time, you have any issues you want to bring to my attention, you can PM me or send an e-mail to [email protected] (try PM first). I will do my best at answering the "call". Please know that, I am not perfect. But, I am fair.
    I Remain, Your Obedient Servant,
    Jimmy "Doc" Nelson

Good call Provost. I've never met Doc, but I've found his prior posts to be enlightening and well documented. Welcome to more work, Doc!

    Congrats!!!

I always thought Doc should have been the man for the position since it was first brought up a couple of years back to have a medical section..pushed heavily by Noah and Doc. Congrats bro!
