National Regiment Activities: Many people don't understand the workings of the National Regiment (NR) and how we fit into it. Here is a chance to learn. ANY NR member wishing to attend the NR General Meeting Friday evening around 7:00 in Gettysburg, is welcome - exact time and place will be posted on the NR website later. This meeting is for general discussion about the past year, airing problems, presenting ideas, suggesting next year's events, etc., and setting the agenda for the Business Meeting. It usually runs to about 8:30 or 9:00, and is usually followed by a Mine-ing expedition. Each unit commander must have a count of how many of his unit will attend by this time so the Order of Battle for the parade can be set. The NR Business Meeting is Saturday morning around 7:30-8:00 (details will be posted on the NR website later). Two representatives from each member unit must be present for that unit to have voting privileges - one unit, one vote. Anyone else may attend to observe but cannot participate. This meeting votes in the new NR Board Member, takes care of all NR business, and sets the NR schedule for the next year. It usually runs to about 11:00.
