Guidelines
Equipment (All of the
following include weapon and leathers)
Drill Order: Canteen only, no haversack
Heavy Marching Order: Full kit, with knapsack or blanket roll
Light Marching Order: Haversack and canteen only, no knapsack
Parade: Accoutrements only, no canteen and no haversack
Uniform
Dress Uniform: Frock coat, hardee hat, white gloves, leather neck
stock, dark blue trousers for 1861. If we do anything pre-1861 or
post-1861, trousers will be light blue for dress uniform If the event is
non-specific as to year, such as a parade, then the default will be the dark blue trousers.
Fatigue Uniform: Sack coat, light blue trouser (dark blue for
1861), and forage cap for fatigue duties
Western Uniform: Similar to field uniform and may include slouch
hats, but bring kepi for Dress Parades
Quarters
Barrack: In-door facility typically furnished with bunks. Any and
all personal items. (cards, letters, newspapers, etc.)
Winter Quarters: Log hut or A-frame tent
Full Camp: Shelter halves arranged along company streets. Boxes,
camp furniture, personal items allowed
Bivouac Camp: Shelter half, blanket, and gum blanket/poncho only.
Nothing more than can be carried in a knapsack or blanket roll
Campaign Style: Shelter halves are not pitched but merely wrapped over
top of one self
