Summer of 1862l
August 26-28, 2005
Overview
Held outside of
Boonsboro, Maryland, The Summer of '62 event will depict the action at the
Battle of Cedar Mountain, the birth of the Iron Brigade at the Battle of
Brawner's Farm, and the Battle of Second Manassas, with unit specific scenarios
based upon the Official Records and first person accounts.
Following up on the success of Fire on the Mountain in 2000 and To the Gates of
Washington in 2003, this event is open to both Garrison and Campaign
impressions, with all standard safety and authenticity regulations enforced.
Artillery and Mounted forces by invitation only in order to maintain correct
force ratios. The event is restricted to 1500 participants.
The Federal Forces will be commanded by Kevin Air, with S. Chris Anders as
Confederate Commander and reenactor coordinator.
