Petersburg National Battlefield Park

Overview
This is a living
history event organized by James Owens who organized the City Point event last
year. Stop #3 is the site of replica earthworks, a winter hut, and a
sutler store. This event will involve manual labor. The event will feature work repairing and improving the
trenches, construction of a winter hut and brush sunshade, in addition to the
usual drill, and guard duty. In addition there will be a ½ mile march from the parking area to the site.
The event will begin at 10am on Saturday, and end at 3pm Sunday. During that
time frame we will function as a military unit carrying out all normal duties.
Rations will be furnished and sutler items will be available for purchase.
