NCO & Officers School
March 5-6, 2005

Overview

The National Regiments annual NCO & Officers school.  The school is gear to those in a leadership role (NCOs and Officers) but is open to any member who is interested.  Topics in the past have included the following: Guard Mount and Inspection, Stacking of Arms, Officers/NCOs on the March, Wearing of Gear, Protocol, Battalion Drill, Dos and Don'ts in camp, Blanket Roll/Overcoat, Coping with Heat/First Aid, System of Guides, Company Drill, Skirmish Drill, etc.

Location

National Guard Armory, Gettysburg, PA

Schedule

Classes will be held at the National Guard Armory near the Lutheran Seminary, on Confederate Ave.  Breakfast will be served at the armory at 7:30 a.m. Saturday's classes will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and dinner will be at 6:00 p.m.  Sunday classes will run from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Log onto the NR website for more details.

Description

Uniform:  Fatigue Uniform (updated 2/13/05)

Equipment:  Bring musket and accoutrement, as well as notebook and pen.

Quartering:  contact your Corporals for more info.

Ammunition:  No

Food:  breakfast, lunch and dinner provided Saturday, breakfast Sunday

Registration: contact your corporals by Feb 18th for more info rates and   lodging arangements

Registration fees:  $40 for classes and all meals (does not include lodging)
