Location

Farnsworth House, 401 Baltimore Street, Gettysburg, PA

Start:  6:30 for drinks.  Dinner will be served at 7:00.  "Texas Swap" gift exchange after dinner.

Cost:  $30 per person (because of limited space, registration is limited to one guest per member).

Uniform:  For those that have the dress uniform - frock, stock, and scales, hardee hat, belt (without the accoutrements.  Fatigue uniform for those without a dress uniform.  Spouses can attend in either modern or period dress.

For the gift exchange, we encourage each member and their guest to each bring a gift with a value no greater than $20

A Regular Christmas Party!

As the cold weather approaches and the great coats come out, it's time to get ready for our annual Christmas Party.  As you may have learned from the newsletter, it will be at the Farnsworth House on Saturday, 18 December, with drinks beginning at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7:00.  We will be having their "Civil War Feast" which costs $30 for adults ($16 for children 10 and under.  There is also a kids menu with three choices for $9 each).  The price includes full meal, tax, and tip.  Please see the attached flyer from the Farnsworth House for a description of the feast.

 
There are a couple of things that I will need from everyone no later than the first of December. 

First, I need everyone to let me know how many in your party will attend. Due to space issues at the restaurant we ask that you stick with the member and one guest (spouse, or member and child, or member and mistress, but two initially. We may be able to increase that number after I get a good tally of who will attend).

Second, we ask that you send your money (checks) to me at the address below, made out to Sykes Regulars along with your meal selections.  In the same way we work event registration, I will then get them to Bob Clayton for consolidation and payment to the restaurant. 

Lastly, if you wish to participate in the Texas swap, please bring one gift per person for the gift exchange.  I suggest you might want to keep the gift value at no greater than $20.00.

As you know, being the new guy in our group, I am really looking forward to this event. Please feel free to email me at paksa59@cox.net with your attendance info and meal selections, and mail checks to my address listed below.
