Harry Dierken was presented with the National Regiment Special
Service Award for his longtime and meritorious service to the
Regiment. Harry first joined the National Regiment in 1984,
and is the first sergeant emeritus of the Third Maryland Volunteer
Infantry, Company A.
A special message from Harry:
"I wish to thank all my comrades and friends in the National
Regiment for the unexpected honor accorded me at Remembrance Day. It has been,
and will continue to be, my privilege to be a member of the first and finest
battalion in Civil War Reenacting."
