I am looking for the old plastic 35mm film cans. Have a stash of them laying around? I'll take them off your hands. I am a member of a North South Skirmish Assn. team, and we need these for powder containers for our Mortar team. You can give them to us and I'll pay the shipping, or if you want to sell them, quote me a price. I need up to 100 of them. I'll take one or what have you. Thanks.

Bob, There is a guy here in Fredericksburg that can make them. I have had several things made by him and he is a wizard. I have asked him about making flanges and he said he has mad several of all sizes. I have a couple I need, but haven't wanted to give up my lenses long enough to get the job done. He is very reasonable. Let me know if you are interested, I can get you his number. Terry

I wish I could help you with your shelf life question, but I am pretty much an armature. I do know that my collodion only lasts about two to three months. The rest of my chemicals have lasted a lot longer. The fixer lasts until it stops working. You will know when it doesn't work. I use Potassium Cyanide. The only problem I had with varnish was that at one point it dissolved an image and ruined i

If a lens is described as being 7inch f/3.6 I know what the f3.6 means, but does the 7 inch mean that I must have at least 7 inches from the back end of the lens to the ground glass to be able to focus it? Or, where exactly do I measure from? Thanks

Have you tried to take a picture with it yet? If it works fine that is all that matters really. If it doesn't work, toss it and make another batch. Perhaps you measured incorrectly and put in too much alcohol or either. Mistakes can happen. Mine is pretty thin always, but it works well.

I put the rubber tips on without removing the spikes. Works great on smooth surfaces. For dirt, I just pop the rubber tips off. I got a set of 4 at Lowes. They look like what is on crutches.

Thanks Ray, My images aren't all great, I don't post the flops, although that would be interesting if everybody posted their best and worst of the day images. I learn from every flop and also from the good ones. I've got a couple more events this month. Still working on the stereo. I took two in GA, neither turned out very good, but I am learning about stereo perspective and how to take advant

Great Video. I thought of all the guys on this forum who were obsessing about the proper dark cloth material and seeing John's dark tent made from what looked like plastic bags and duct tape. I guess that is how one can live with out bills. I'd love to take his class some time. I'm sure I would learn a lot and it would be interesting to meet this man.
