Yep Dave, I am making wet plates in Germany. Getting chemistry here is a real pain in the butt, first off with the language and learning the terms in German. Forget even using cyanide as a fixer it will not happen. Either way I will share all that with you when you arrive here. I am always looking for new vendors and supply houses. All, I have completed the construction of a new dark box as described in John’s book and would like some feedback on how large the dark cloth should be. Careless me, I left the wet plate bible at home in Germany and I am in Houston with my mother eagerly wanting to sew the darn thing together. I have the fabric from Roberts but I do not have the measurements here for my mother to stitch it

I would love to trade my full plate anthony style tailboard camera for a chamfered front style camera. The camera is used and in very good condition. I will include the film holder, darlot lens, leather lenscap and lensboard. The ground glass for this camera is broken and must be replaced. I figure it would be easier and safer for the camera if the ground glass was not included anyway. Either

Any tips or suggestions on the overall size of a canvas backdrop? What would you do different if you had to do it all over again?
