Sad news

I'm sorry to tell you Seán MacKenna has died. He passed on 14th October after emergency surgery. He had been quite unwell for a number of years but continued wetplate until the end. I met him a few times in London, he was a generous teacher who would accept no payment for his time.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. Sean was such a inspiration to us all so generous with his knowledge. He will certainly be missed by many.

My first and best brass lens was at one time owned my Sean. He didn't even know me, but gladly sent his homemade waterhouse stops to me from England for free.
So sad. He will be missed.
