What resource helps to date Darlot portrait lenses by Serial#

I dont recall seeing any Darlot serial numbers. Not sure though.

Milan has done some research on the numbers for Darlot. Nothing from company records like Voigtlander or Dallmeyer. What's your serial number? Sometimes dates are written on the rear lens elements.

The Jamin and Darlot serial numbers are all over the map. Numbers started, stopped, overlapped. I don't think you can even get in the correct decade knowing a serial number. And I've done quite a bit of research, I've never seen any lists. Like Paul says, if you get lucky, the early ones sometimes had a date on the glass edge (lots of Hermagis did this). Otherwise, you can only approximate a period.
