We still have a couple of spots left in the October 24-28th collodion negative workshop. We'll make wet plate collodion negatives at Scully & Osterman Skylight Studio, tannin dry collodion negatives in the formal gardens at George Eastman House, do pencil and over sheet retouching and proof the negatives with salt prints.
The group will also view original albumen prints from collodion negatives by Frederick Scott Archer, Julia Margaret cameron, Gustave Le Gray, Tim O'Sullivan and others as well as see original wet plate equipment from the museum's archives. Lot's of fun and loads of learning the next level. This is really meant for collodion enthusiasts who have well formed skills in ambrotype or tintype positives. Eastman House historic process workshops are unlike any other.
