So to find a truth I made a simple test. I had hypo and Amm. Thio and I want to understand are there any difference in picture using those fixers.
So I made an exposure then develop and then cut a glass in two parts.
One part I fixed in Hypo and another in Amm. Thio... try to find 10 difference in them smiling smiley))
*For sure I scan two pieces by one pass by putting them together on scanner glass.

Thats very interesting.

A good thing to try next is to place both plate sections in the sunlight for several days...and see if one half changes color, or darkens. That would indicate remaining active silver salts.

Looks like they're the same color to me...

Next time cut it in 3 pieces and fix it with KCN, Amm. Thio., and Hypo....
