Any thoughts? The price is right, around $60 US and I can then afford a star or one of Ty's cameras. I know it isn't 19th century but hey.
It can also cover 12x15, and is f4.5 wide open. so it is reasonably fast.
I really don't want to go bigger than full plate.
cheers,

They are a solidly build camera with a nice lens. Only thing I dont like is the ground glass lifts up and over the top when you put the plateholder in. A frail system that seems like the hinges can get out of whack on easily. Ive made adapter backs for these and they work out nice.
Its like finding a german camera from the 1920s, only newer.
What would you want for it? The reason I'm looking at the Russian Lenses is they are easier on my bank account. The Zeiss lenses have been going upwards of $200.
The Industar I was looking at was $45 plus $25 shipping. I want to spend any real money on a nice camera, then I can upgrade the lens later.
cheers,
chriso
I can send you one for total 70USD + paypal fees.
But I can send lens only in the middle of November when I come back from France.
So If you want to wait - I will send you lens.
