I heard John had an accident and broke his arm. Word is its serious and needs surgery. Can anyone confirm this?

I got a letter just before his surgery in Rochester. He is going to needs pins and stuff.

Damn. what happened??

He fell from one of his animals. He was currently teaching a workshop, and the student took him to the nearest hospital. Sadly There was no real specialist there and those at Strong in Rochester couldn't make time until 12 days after the accident. With the Surgery he is slated to re-gain 95% of the use of his arm, but will be pretty uncomfortable until it is set and heals.

Farm accidents were one of the bad points of the 19th century. Im glad at least someone was there to help.
