For you Japanners our there.
I know there are only very few of us. But, I found a very economic supplier of tin in small qtys.
Pie Safe Tin These guys sell the pie safe tin in 10x14 sheets for $2.40 each. If you use Country Accents (piercedtin.com), then the price for 10x14 is $4.30. Now the Country Accents guys may be your cup of tea if you have them also cut to size for you, but I am way too cheap for that. So, if you cut your own tin, check out the Kennedy guys. It is nice tin, I just japanned some this week. My guess is that is about .012 thickness.
McMaster-Carr also has the cold rolled sheet steel for a good price, but it always rusted on me before I could get to japan it. The tin plate doesn't rust.
