Hello Again. I know we talked about this before but?
8x10 ambrotype/black glass.
John Coffer's Manual, fresh developer and silver bath up to par.
It was a hot day here (switzerland) 85 outside 75 inside darkroom.
I was pouring the collodion outside and then bring the plate inside to develope.
All of my plates had some kind of (I guess fog?) but some of them I was able to wipe some of it off? Help anyone?
Thanks?

Well yes there is help. However it seems that you have several problems and most of us can and only would guess as to cause and effect.
Now to me it looks as if the collodion is (the left one) too thick, uneven pour and dried too fast/long before you put in the bath. A bit of over development also created a fog. Your temps are not hot and to me just right as I am now in almost 100 deg heat southwest desert area USA.
I notice some scan lines from computer on the right one.
just a fast first guess.

When mixing up a new batch of collodion a couple weeks ago, I had to throw away an old bottle of unmixed collodion because it had dried out. While looking into the mouth of the bottle, I noticed that there was quite a bit of rust accumulated on the inside of the can. Can rust in your collodion cause this kind of problem?

WAYNE,
Thanks. It think you might be right about the collodion drying to fast, I was pouring the collodion outside then bring the plate indoors, so maybe I was taking to long. The lines are from me trying to wipe some of it off.

JOBOO,
My colloidion is in glass bottle after I mix it. I only buy enough unmixed collodion for each time, but thanks anyway...
