Well Granted the money is spent wisely and efficently that is great. To bad it took a bad economy to get the bucks. We shouldn't have to rely on things like the stimulus for the money.

It is always good to see our statues and monumets get a little attention. Though there are many that do get the attention, sadly there are a few that do not. Example is the 32nd Indiana Infantry momument at the Cave Hill Cemetary in Louisville, KY. If it'd had the attention it needed several years back, it would not have to go under the restoration process it is going through now to save it.

Default The National Military Parks

I visited Chickamauga this past weekend. I was shocked to see portions of the Kentucky monument missing. There were other monuments that I noted had been affected by vandals, theives or the forces of nature. I would hope that before the sequecentennials arrive, maybe some of them can be restored to their former glory.
