Yes. No. Maybe.
IMHO, it is more solemn, respectful, and "appropiate" than the rock and roll, beer company and cigarette ad T-shirts, muscle shirts, blue jeans, shorts, and flop-flops I see at Catholic and Protestant services these daze.
On the other hand, IMHO, wearing an 1860's civilian outfit or officers outfit to a modern "civiian" church service seems to maybe smack of "Hey, look at me!" and distract people from their worship and "who" things are about.
But then again, I am "old fashioned," and there is a perceived and real need to try to get young people "back to church."
