    Default pioneer badges

    Does anyone have a template for a pioneer badge? I am making a few for an event.

    Check with Paul Biccardo of the Liberty Rifles. He had a few that he emailed out to some guys for their Living History at Stone's River last month.

    the picture shows blue axes/hatchets. pioneers should be white as per regulations.

    US Regs:
    For a Pioneer: Two crossed hatchets of cloth, same color and material as the edging of the collar, to be sewed on each arm above the elbow in the place indicated for a chevron (those of a corporal to be just above and resting on the chevron,) the head of the hatchet upward, its edges outward, of the following dimensions, viz.: Handle- four and one half inches long, one fourth to one third of an inch wide. Hatchet - two inches long, one inch at the edge

    pre war and early war chevrons were white, ollar tape was white. regs didnt change until when? the wording says color of collar piping. well if unofficially is sky blue that makes sense, but by reg it would be white I say.
