Default What would you pay for reproduction calico buttons.

    Hello all,

I stated in an earlier post I had some other projects I am working on. One is calico buttons. Again I have a minimum to purchase, so this may take some time. I am curious first of all to see if there is an interest in them??? A company called Chili-n-Crackers used to make them, but they have since left the business. I have found a company willing to make them. I would also be intersted in seeing which pattern or color you would like to see first? What would you be willing to pay for a reproduction button???

I would be most interested, as the only company I've talked to in the last few months who said they could do it wanted a minimum order of 10,000, which is about 9500 more than I need. I've bought from the company you mention before, as well as a couple of others who have dried up in the last couple of years, and I paid between 25c and 50c per button on average. I've been known to pay between $1 to $2 per button for originals, but its so hard to get a matching set for one shirt, let alone several. As for colors, I'm not too picky, since I've got a material stash that will match anything.

I too would be interested in some buttons. We had purchased before from Chili - n Crackers in the past. Let us know what develops, we would also like to see pictures of the product.

    Default Calico Buttons

There's a few more of us out there who would be most interested in the prospect of repro. ceramic buttons; plain, calico, pie plate...etc.

Would the designs be printed or painted onto the buttons?

Any idea what kind of price we're talking about?

    Thanks,

So far, from all the reproduction calico buttons that I've seen, the originals are far cheaper and hold up better too.
