    Default Original Civil War Artwork

Hello, everyone! My name is Skott Borello, and I am pretty new to these forums (although not new to reenactments). I am a logger by trade, and work in Northern California in those places you can’t get those big, modern machines with my horse team and cutting tools. (Ok, I admit I own one modern chainsaw)

The logging business has taken its toll, and I am now looking to further my other great interest (and save my back): Civil War artwork.

    This is my business logo:

I have been drawing all of my life, but never tried to make a living at it. I generally sell my artwork in the form of cards or coloring books at the actual reenactments, but I also do custom drawings, paintings, or will sell prints of my earlier work (or the originals if I have not sold it yet).

I guess I am seeing if there is any interest in this sort of thing.

Time to put up or shut up, I suppose. Here is a small sample of my work, all mine, all hand drawn (ink on paper, but I also paint):

(It says I am limited to 4 pictures, so the rest you will need to copy & paste the link into your browser search bar or just click on them. These are direct links to the artwork)

These are originally 8.5 x 11 sized, but I can do artwork up to 2x3 feet, or larger, if required. I am really flexible, and want to ensure you get exactly what you want. I can even change a photo of your reenactment group into a Civil War sketch. I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from my customers (take it with a grain of salt, but I aim to please)

This is a very small sampling of my work(I didn’t want to kill your computer if you were on a 56k connection). All of the scenes are meticulously researched, down to the authentic weapons and horse tack. Many scenes originate from actual battles and maneuvers.

If you see anything you like, want to know more, or want something custom created, my contact information is...

Oooh neat!! Those would make wonderful woodburning patterns. If 9th Virginia would give permission to use his drawings as woodburning patterns and someone wanted to purchase one from him for me to burn for them, I’d love to!

That is a really interesting idea. Never thought of that before! Might work out, shoot me an email or give me a ring to discuss!

We can definately discuss it. Coloring books (of course) are no problem. I have those in stock always. (So as to not clutter the thread, go ahead and shoot me an email/call me). Thank you!
