    Default Musket for Sale

I have a wonderful musket that I am no longer in need of that I hope finds someone else whom will use it well.

-1840 Contract flint-to-precussion conversion musket DEFARBED made by Loyalist Arms. .69 smoothbore, made as a cone-in-barrel conversion, has never been flint. Has a cut off flint brass pan and the lock is marked "US 1840" and an eagle and "L. Pomeroy" as the contractor name. It has been used lightly, it also has a couple inspectors marks opposite the lock. It comes with the bayonet.

The photos show it before and after the defarb work.

    ASKING $400

    PM responded too.

If anyone is curious on the history and accuracy of the "cone-in-barrel" conversion method, please refer to the below link from it's for sale ad on the AC.

Also, the first musket in the Union EOG on pag.32-33 shows the original.

    Thanks!
