I have four Federal Painted Oil Blankets and three Confederate Painted Oil Blankets ready to ship. I use Priority mail. The Federal Painted Oil Blankets are made from the specifications as given by the Federal Quartermasters Office. The Confederate Painted Oil Blankets are made from descriptions given by soldiers around Richmond that said twine was used to convert the oil blanket to a shawl for protection from bad weather. The total charge including shipping is $57.50. Each oil blanket is made from 27.5" wide 8 oz canvas duck so the seam is authentic. Canvas was not 48" wide as what the sutlers sale. I take checks, cash, MO's and Pay Pal. My Pay Pal account is clsinclair@comporium.net which is also my e-mail address. Go to: http://www.claudesinclair.com/Palmet...?1203377648549
For Pictures. The lamp black is in the coffee container.
I use lamp black, turpentine, japan dryer, linseed oil, correct 1/4" brass grommets, and 8 oz cotton duck. Of the 500+ oil blankets that I have sold, I have never had one returned. I have sold to many members of this forum and on other forums. Never had a complaint and I will return all $$$ minus the $7.50 shipping if you are not happy. I used one of these at Rich Mountain and stayed dry while it rained on Friday night. Oh, weight is around 2 - 2.5 pounds.
