    Default 1816 bayonet

    Folks
    I have a repop 1816 bayonet in good shape for sale. slight surface rust, US stamped on it. heavy duty! i paid 70, asking 60 for it. thanks

    pardon my ingnorance, but is the bayonet for an underbarrel lug?

    The majority of the 1816's of all persuations had their lugs on top. i am sure there is a reasoning why the armories switched for the 1842, but i am not well versed.
