Would anyone happen to know where I can purchase a period lounging cap?

This one is great
The photo really doesn't do it justice either. It is a copy of one from Godey's.

Does any one know where I can get patterns for a lounging cap? As much as I want to look dandy I can't spend that much on a college student's budget.

According to Nick Sekela the cap shown above was based on a pattern in Goodey's Ladies magazine. Check with the ladies in the civilian section and see if any of them have an issue of Goodeys with a smoking/lounge cap pattern in it. I made myself a cap years ago based roughly off the gaudy one shown in Echos of Glory. It was a pretty simple thing to draw up and I used scrap wool, bits of a worn out shirt, and parts of an old fatigue blouse to make it. I then got a book on embroidery from the library and tried to emulate the decoration on the EOG cap. Came out pretty good, got a lot of comments and was gaudy as ****, shame I lost the darn thing! I'd send you the pattern I made up but I'm afraid I threw it away in one of my fits of "cleaning"

I pick up a Wool lounging hat at Bucket Brigade very nice and very warm. Heck I just had it on while shoveling snow. and it only cost me $25.00
