    Period, Everyday, Common

    It has to do with not looking for the exception to the rule, but blending into the typical.

    Ahem - If you're going to include acronyms, the purppose of the thread was that they be defined.

    And how could we have missed YMMV (Your mileage may vary)?

    'Cuz they aren't period relevant and or not regularly used on this forum?

    [deletion - THP]

    Your Mileage Will Vary (which is maybe why we didn't have YMMV on this forum).

    RRR = Red Right Return (as opposed to Johnny Left Port) in a ship channel.

    A135, G135 = Antietam 135th Anniversary Reenactment, Gettysburg 135th Anniversary Reenactment.

    NSA = North South Alliance
    FFD = First Federal Division

    Time to go to SOC (Stand of Colors) in KCMO (the RIGHT Side of Missouri in case you're looking at a Map, StL is on the Wrong Side of Missouri).

    Default Not really Acronym but why is this?

    Why do people refer to this vendor as "N.J. ******" or some other shorthand?

    I am not up on my New Jersey lingo; could this be a word that should not be uttered outside the Garden State? Am I now gonna wake up with the fishes?

    It is because that certain vendor threatened a lawsuit against the owner of another Forum if his name was used on that site, either in public forum or in the sale of new/used goods. All references to his name was to be obscured or removed. And if it's mentioned there, that's the way it is mentioned.

    Is there a reason for this "disagreement", that the great unwashed of us may be informed?
