    cph or c/p/h - campaigner/progressive/hardcore - three stages of what is often referred to her as "campaigning", or the other side of the hobby from mainstream. Similarly, some break down the mainstream side into three stages f/m/a - farb/mainstream/authentic.

    PEC - period/everyday/common - a concept for basing one's impression on what would have been seen a large portions of the soldiers rather than a very small minority.

    F/M/C/P/H/A- so-called Farb, Mainstreamer, Campaigner, Progressive, Hardcore, Authentic paradigm or model or reenacting and living history

    AC- Authentic Campaigner board

    OTB- Off Topic Board

    SB- Szabo's Board, the Civil War Reenactors Discussion Board

    WIG- Western Independent Grays

    GHTI- George H. Thomas' Invincibles

    MOOCOWS- Middletennessee Occasionally Organized Company Of
    Westernfederal Soldiers

    AOP also stands for Army of the Pacific, a reenactor organization based on the west coast which participates in NSA (North/South Alliance) events, usually in the western theater area, such as Franklin, Corinth, Perryville and Mill Springs. I believe they have a website.
