    Exclamation GAR Memorial Hall

Urgent to all enthusiasts of our American Civil War. The GAR Memorial Hall in Aurora, IL., one of the last original GAR halls, is on a list of 25 historical sites in the Chicagoland area that has the opportunity to receive funding for much needed repairs. American Express along with the Preservation Society has listed these sites on www.partnersinpreservation.com, so that interested individuals may vote for their favorite site. The sites with the most votes will receive a share of 1 million dollars. As of yesterday the GAR Memorial Hall in Aurora was in 9th place.

    WE NEED YOUR VOTES!!!!

Please go to www.partnersinpreservation.com and vote for the GAR Memorial Hall. It costs nothing and it takes less than a minute to vote. You can vote EVERY DAY, once a day until October 10th. It would be fantastic if the GAR Hall received the funds needed so it could reopen again and be a site to honor those men and keep their memory alive.

Please go to the site, register and vote. Every vote counts!

    Thanks,

    Dear Sir ,
My comrades and I vote every day but I don't think we will beat the Robbey House . Still perhaps our votes will be of influence to future projects.

Thanks Dave, we can only hope that by telling friends to vote we may move up. A friend of mine in Aurora is contacting the local paper and the city council.
