    Default Shelter Halves for Sale

I am now taking orders for the type 111a Federal Shelter Halves. Cost is $75 per half and they are correctly made with the correct weight of drill or cotton duck. These are made with the correct hand sewn button holes and hand sewn grommets. Brass grommets are not correct for shelter halves nor is machine sewn button holes. I use bone buttons instead of the incorrect pewter buttons. You can visit http://www.claudesinclair.com/For-Sale/Dog-tent.html to view the halves. I make these in the comfort of my living room. I offer a 100 percent refund if you are not happy with item. Must return within 10 days. I also make correct Federal Painted Oil Cloths for $50 plus shipping. I can also make a Confederate Painted Oil Blanket for $45 plus shipping. Richmond Depot Painted Haversack is $35 with shipping included. Can send pictures upon request.

I will be posting photos within a week. I do not sell the two piece correct poles. You can get them at the Regimental Quarter Master in the Campaign section for $14.95 each. I have made some but it cost me more than $14.95 in material to make one. I will be starting a run of correct Federal Painted Oil Blankets in a week or so. I usually make 5 at a time and they sell about as fast as I make them. I will also be making a few Confederate painted oil blankets.

    Thanks for your questions.

I did make some tent flies for the Perryville Campaign. I no longer made them.

Hijack away. I specialize in Federal and Confederate Painted Oil Blankets and have sold hundreds over the past 6 years. I first cut the drill or canvas (8 oz) into 27.5 or 33.5" to start with the correct width of material. I did the same with the Tent Flies but used a 10 oz weight of Canvas. I have been toying with the ideal to make a correct A tent but right now I am in the "put it off" mood.
