Default 1st Maryland Light Artillery, Battery A, U.S. (out of Phoenix, AZ)

    Greetings,

In June of this year a new Union Artillery Battery was formed in AZ with the approval and support of active participating artillery units based in AZ and Southern California.

The 1st Maryland Light Artillery, Battery A, U.S. was formed and is based out of Gilbert, AZ. That’s approximately 25 miles southeast of Phoenix.

The 1st MD has a 12 Pdr Mountain Howitzer (prairie carriage) with a prairie limber w/ ammo chest. The unit also has a full scale 12 Pdr Coehorn Mortar (4.62” Bore) that we use in “Live Fire” competitions and reenactments.

The 1st MD is looking for new members who want to belong and participate to an active Union artillery unit.

Benefits of joining Battery A, 1st Maryland Light Artillery, U.S. Reenacting Group:

    • No annual dues

    • Actively Participate as a Living Historian

    • Relaxing with friends who share a common bond and affection for Civil War reenacting, artillery, weapons, and black powder fun

    • No unit politics we are all equals, lets just be safe and respectful within the reenacting community

    • Experience reenactors or new comers to the hobby are welcome

    • Unit participates in “Live Fire” events as well as reenacting events

    • Participate as much or as little as your budget or private time allows

If you believe this is the Civil War Reenacting unit that you have been looking for please visit our website and send an us an email.

    Respectfully,
