I’m wondering if any of you have seen one in person, how does is stack up to the originals?

I'd email Katie and ask her for their provenance, i.e. what information do they have that identifies this design as belonging to the period of the War, and ask for details of the construction that follow period manufacturing techniques. That's what I'd want to see before handing over $325.00.

I only seen the suitcase in passing.

I've examined a couple of their trunks and was very pleased with the quality of construction, materials used, and period-correct style.

OK then an update on this case I just got an e-mail from them. Apparently the case is done off an original they own. It was dated to the period 1860’s by the locks and materials the.. It looks pretty good but wow it’s expensive. Say it was my birth day last month I was good!
