Default WTB: A-Frame Tent - Preferably 7' tall

    Hello,
I am looking for a used (but still very servicable) A-Frame. Preferably the 7' tall model. Single or double door is OK. Please let me know what you are asking. What's included. How much to ship to 53024. And of course a description of the tent. If you have a photo I'd really appreciate seeing it.

    Thanks!
    Dave

PS: To give you a reference point -- I have been considering buying a new Cresent City 9’ long, 7’ tall, 8’ wide, 2-door A-frame for $155.00 (includes sod cloth, but no stakes or poles). But thought I'd check here first.

PPS: Also, respectfully, I understand the authenticity issues surrounding A-frames (especially 2-doors) so I ask that people please not turn this into a discussion of that here. Thanks in advance!!!

    Default Try this

    Dave,

Try Cedar Creek Supply Depot. They have some of the best prices I've seen on A-Frames, and their work is superb. Their 6' A-Frame runs $117, and their 7' is $132. I'm looking to get one of their 6' myself. Hope this helps.

    Hi john,
Thanks for the heads-up! I just emailed them to see what type of canvas they use, width and length dimensions, etc. They sure don't put much info on their web site. Unless I just couldn't find it.

    Cheers,
    Dave

    Dave,

I would also try Fall Creek. My group buys all of their tentage from them. We've never had any problems with them except the occasional normal wear on the tent stake loops. They are very friendly and customer service oriented. I bought 2 wall tents from them 4 years ago and I couldn't find better prices anywhere.

I don't like to bad mouth sutlers but I haven't ever heard of to many good reports from Crescent City, but I'm only going on heresay. (Moderators: If this violates any policy, please delete it. Thank you)
That would have normally been my toughts about Cresent City as well (I wasn't too happy with a couple of clothing items I had bought from them) except in another A-frame thread on this board a while back someone highly recommended their tent.

Fall Creek isn't a whole lot more expensive and they rep is pretty good - at least on the mainstream side - so I may indeed consider that.

    Thanks!!
