    I'm already in a unit, but looking for a campaigner unit in california, preferably northern california. Federal or Confederate. thanks

    Have you checked out Sykes’ Regular United States Infantry in the ACWA? They even wear leather neck stocks.

    I have, but not sure, I'm not into regulars. They dont have to be campaigners, just not full on farbs.

    The NCWA (and ACWA) are the organizations you'd probably join as they're based in Northern CA. Check their websites; I'd recommend my unit - 7th West Virginia (Union), in the NCWA. It's a great unit if you're looking to join a campaigner unit that is progressive..great group of guys, young and old, and always looking for new recruits.
