Well that depends on how much you like eating, breathing and wearing dust. I think I am still getting the dust out of my gear from the big Chickamauga event that was held there in 1999. Also with all the new homeland security concerns, it might be extremely difficult to get permission to use that site again.

If you would really like to see a Chickamauga Reenactment happen, then I would suggest you take the lead and start putting the event together yourself. Don't wait for others to do it for you.

There is one thing that makes Chickamauga unique among Civil War battles and that has yet to be done with a reenactment of it, TREES.

Yes Lee, indeed you are correct. However, you forgot to mention the tarheel troops. You know, as well as I do, that the glorious troops of NC, such as the 29th, 58th, and 60th , outshined the razorbacks, as well as the Georgia troops. Wish I could say a few good things about the 6th CAV, but I simply can't do it.

Um actually at Olustee every year a significant portion of the "action" takes place in the pine forest around the spectator battlefield. I should know I think I found every exposed root and hole while maneuvering through it this past year .

    Mr. Long,
Clean out the private message folder. I have a really mean message about NC troops in the AOT to send you that references the Chickamauag trailer of doom.
