Default North Carolina Jacket for Sale

    1. North Carolina jacket by Craig Schneider. Extraordinary reproduction copied off an original worn by William E. Tucker, a worker at one of the government shops in Charlotte. It is made of very fine thin jeans, very closely matching the fine weave of the original and in a color close to what the original may have looked like before it faded to the green color it is now. The jacket is pretty much a typical NC jacket: 4=piece body, 1-piece sleeves, lined in osnaburg, 2 interior pockets, 6 button front, etc. It has a few funky features like the interior collar cut on the bias, the body lining used as the interfacing by whipstitching the facings over the top, and the sleeve linings sewn in before the lining was set into the body. It is stitched with a mix of both dark brown and white thread. As per period tailoring manuals, the waist will fit nice and tight with the chest somewhat more loose. Like new condition. Size 42. Pics to come. Price $200.00, shipping included.
