The Carolina Fifes & Drums, one of the few organized Civil War fife & drum corps south of Virginia, has just released a new CD entitled "GO TO THE DEVIL & SHAKE YOURSELF: Fife & Drum Music of the Civil War and 19th-Century America."

This recording features some popular fife & drum tunes as well as several RARE tunes that have NEVER been recorded by any other group! It was recording live outdoors just as fife & drum music was meant to be heard, not in a stuffy studio, and there is an 8-page fold out booklet that gives a detailed history of each tune we play.
