    There's been questions about registration:

    Go to:

    Use the Reenactors tab at the top of the page:
    http://www.elmiracivilwar.com/reenactors

    Then scroll down, submit a photo of your impression for approval:

    The following applies to all participants.

    Participants apply as individuals and asked to provide a photo showing the planned impression to be approved by the impression coordinators before being accepted.
    Read your impression guidelines and if you have any questions,contact the appropriate coordinator.
    NO WALK ONS.
    You are only considered registered upon submission of application, photo and payment.
    Impression coordinators have the final say regarding individual standards.
    Specific camping guidance will be outlined in the respective impression requirements

    ***SAFETY CAUTION***
    This event will be held adjacent to the Chemung River.
    The river current is swift & deceptively strong.
    Children should be under observation at all times.

    Print out the application-It's the Adobe document.

    Mail with payment to:
    Mail to: PO Box 681, Elmira, NY 14902
    (Paypal is also an option.)

    Registration updates are available on the website. Those who wish to portray Confederate prisoners, who had relatives who were prisoners ant Elmira, should register as early as possible so you can be assigned your relatives name.

    Event Organizers are now offering pieces of the original buildings as premiums to the first 25 registrants...see the website for details.

    BOUNTY! Recruits come in from the draft! First 50 US, 50 CS & 25 citizens to register are eligible to receive a piece of wood & a nail recovered from the reconstructed building. Bounty payable upon arrival at Barracks No 3.
    Eligibility derives from the receipt date of payment as recorded by Paypal or postmark of envelope if mailed. Must collect the bounty in person.
