Quartermaster Shop 1858 US Forage Cap w/ insignia for sale

I have a model 1858 US Forage Cap custom ordered from the Quartermaster shop in size 7 and 3/8". It has brass crossed saberrs and "2", and "C" attached. This is top notch cap, I would say impossible to upgrade from this one. 19 oz blue wool body, black cotton lining, bull size leather brim, chinstrap, eagle buttons, etc. It fits me just a tad loose, so it would probably fit you if you wear a 7 1/2" as well. I bought this one new in 2000 and wore it one time to Selma. It has been on the wall ever since---nothing wrong with it, I just wind up going with a slouch hat---when I make to an event, which is rare. No damage, no wear, no fading, no salt stains---just some dust. They go for $70.00 from the Quartermaster Shop these days. I will take $55.00 with FREE SHIPPING.
