10 Feb 2013: The Battle of Fredericksburg Commemoration Committee is pleased to announce that in total, it has donated more than $11,000 to local Civil War Preservation organizations. Specifically, $3500 went to the Central Virginia Battlefield Trust(http://www.cvbt.org/); $3500 went to the Friends of Stafford Civil War Sites (http://www.fscws.org/); and more than $4000 went to the George Washington Foundation (owners of Ferry Farm.)(www.kenmore.org/)

These donations are directly as a result of the December 2012 “Fire on the Rappahannock” event commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Fredericksburg. They could not have been possible without great support from the reenactment community, as well as our neighbors. Thanks to all!
