    Question Hardee Hat Question

    Pards,

    How wide should the brim of the 1858 Hardee Hat be? I have one, but the brim looks to me to be excessively wide (3.5").

    Nathan,

    The specifications say 3 1/4 " for the width of the brim.

    I don't know if every hat followed this or not.

    Correct. 3 1/4 was the "specs."

    A quick dimension from four surviving originals shows 3, 3, 3, and 3 1/8th inches.
