Default 1st Tennessee Company H recruiting in NE Ohio and PA

We are a Confederate reenacting group that is part of the AOS- Army of Shenandoah. WE are currently recruiting for the upcoming reenacting season. We are an infantry unit that is 20 plus rifles strong and growing. We portray a unit from Tennessee that was part of Turneys Division that was dispatched at the beginning of the war to the Eastern Theater. They fought at many of the major events including Gettysburgh. WE are a family oriented group and have a great mix of single soldiers and families that portray soldiers and civilians. We also have a medical corp and are attached to the AOS field hospital.
We have national affiliation and are associated with PACS so we carry insurance that every member is required to purchase for reenacting.

If interested then feel free to contact me for more information.

    Hello Bob,

Does your unit have researched, written and enforced authenticity standards, an approved vendors list, and a web site? If so, you might get more action if you post them.

    Just curious,
    Weldon

We are still recruiting for the season. Not too late to join us and even go with us to Gettysburg for the 150th. We are part of the 3rd Brigade and have several seasoned veterans in command. There is a lot of room to grow in the brigade.

Nice to see you portraying these men. Many of us formed the 1st Tenn. ( Provisional ) campaigner battalion, at the BGA Gettysburg. I was in company H. I had the honor to portray Cpl. Thomas ( TJ ) Harper, during our time there. He was my 2nd Grt. Grandfather . He was wounded at Gettysburg and captured on the 5th at Greencastle, PA. Bully for you boys, for portraying the 1st !

Glad to honor your family Eric. 1st Tenn Co H took very heavy casualties at Gettysburg and but they did break through from what I read on Pickett's charge but at a heavy price and had to retreat due to no support.

End of the season is upon us so time to get in and get ready for the next season. We are part of the AOS national organization and have ties to the AOT and PACS.
