Default Early Registration for the Camp Geiger event

The registration fee for the Camp Geiger event, in Whitehall, PA, goes up from $10.00 to $15.00 dollars on February 28, 2013. It would be a big help to the organizers, if people would register early. They really need less of your money now, versus more of your money later!

Here's the web site for the event: http://www.campgeiger.org You can download registration forms from the site.

For those who haven't attended, Camp Geiger is a late war event, with trench works for both Confederate and Federal reenactors. You can spend the weekend in the trenches, or move from the trenches to the campsites behind the lines. The trenches stay "hot" all day, with outposts, work details, and sharpshooters. From time to time, major attacks take place, that are usually repulsed by the defenders. (Just like the real Civil War!) The event is scheduled for May 17-19, 2013 this year.

Default Camp Geiger FB Page and more

    All,

I am the webmaster of the Camp Geiger website, I have recently created an FB page and EVent page for people who find that easier. On the page it has the latest news, and links to find the registration information.

I know on Monday the following groups will be registering from the Union Volunteers..

    14th Brooklyn Co. E
    143rd PA Co. A
    15th Mass
    39th NY "G.G"

I have been asked have people begin registering as smaller events such as Camp Geiger rely heavily on Pre-Registrations to pay for things like water, port-o-pots etc. So Please get your registrations in Soon!

We held a planning meetinig this past weekend and in addition to the usual trench warfare we will be putting on a public battle to honor the local 153rd Pa by reenacting their Barlow's Knoll battle at Gettysburg. We will also have a reenactor only battle/tactical on Saturday evening. Saturday will be a very agressive battle day so bring PLENTY of rounds!
The free reenactor meal for Saturday night will also be available this year.
This year's event is shaping up to be a good one.. Be sure to register soon....

For those of you who haven't been to the event, there's a huge wooded area behind the trench lines. Far bigger then the ground we get to play on at Neshaminy. It's cut up with dirt roads and the ruins of old industrial buildings are located here and there on the property. It's the perfect place for a tactical. Especially small unit actions.
