I'm interested in becoming a reenactor. Are there any units near Nashville? If so what types?

The 4th Tennessee Cavalry Regiment has some members in Nashville, and focus on events in Middle Tennessee and North Alabama.
We currently have a dismounted company in your area, but we're working on building our mounted forces as well. We are "mainstream progressing towards authenticity", meaning that we encourage our members to improve their accuracy, while giving them the time to do so.
We are also a family friendly unit with a fully active civilian attachment, so feel free to bring the family.
We portray the 4th Tennessee Cavalry Regiment of Colonel Baxter Smith, which served under General John A. Wharton during the war, also serving with Generals Joe Wheeler and Nathan Bedford Forrest. We do galvanize and portray the Union's 4th East Tennessee Cavalry Regiment when needed.
