Default 149th Battle of Waynesboro VA - Leading into 150th Battle of Waynesboro - April 2014

Sending out a warning order for the 149th Battle of Waynesboro, the last battle in the Shenandoah Valley. We are hosting a reenactment in Waynesboro VA the first of April 2014. This will mark the 149th anniversary of the battle, and will be a practice run for the 150th. There will be 2 battles, Saturday will be the first Battle of Waynesboro - Sept 28 1864, and Sunday will be the better known Battle of Waynesboro, where Jubal Early gave up the Valley, lost his army, and fled to Richmond where he was relieved by Lee. Our site is 387 acres, and the battlefield is just at a half mile long. Lots of room to maneuver, it is our goal to have the battle last at least 90 minutes, you won't go home wishing you had burned more powder. We need Confederate and Union units, Artillery, Infantry and Cavalry. All will be heavily involved. Please send unit contact info for invitation and updates.

    Default Waynesboro

For the Union, these were both exclusively cavalry battles. Will the reenactment stay true to the original?
