Just donated $40 for my two relatives at Franklin. One was wounded at the Cotton Gin, one was killed. Let's get that money rolling.

There are 5351 users on this forum, and if everyone donated just twenty dollars the land would be saved.

Franklin's Charge is about to have a press conference to announce that they have met all matches and can say that the Domino's and the strip market will be reclaimed as the epicenter of the battlefield @ Franklin. Here 11 Medals of Honor were hard earned & Cleburne, among countless others, died."

I'm very happy to hear this news! My interest in CW history began when I heard stories of my G-G-Grandfather (who served with the 111th OVI) personally relate some of his experiences of that battle to my great-aunt. She told me he would point to the west side of the Carter House and tell her that its very possible some of those bullet holes were made by him.
I look forward to going down there again when this property is restored
